Hannah’s House
Hannah’s House is an outreach ministry that provides a safe home, emotional support and programming to assist pregnant women of all ages in “getting their lives together”. Hannah’s House is often filled to capacity; serving seven women and their unborn/newborn babies at any given time. Approximately 25-35 women live in the home annually. At this time, only pregnant women and their newborn babies can reside in the house but other children are allowed to visit.

Hope Rescue Mission
Hope provides emergency and transitional housing for 18 families with children, 35 single men and 16 single women. Typical length of stay is 12-18 months. All residents are served three meals per day at no cost. In addition to feeding our residents, Hope serves lunch and dinner every day of the year at no cost to any other person from the community who comes to us.

Housing Authority of South Bend
The Housing Authority provides low-income housing to eligible participants in the South Bend area. Services include Section 8 housing subsidies (utilizing privately own properties that meet Housing Authority standards) or residing in one of the many Housing Authority owned properties scattered throughout South Bend.

Real Services – Family Development Program
This program offers various types of assistance to low income families who are willing and able to move toward self-sufficiency. Case Management provides information in the following areas: referrals for assistance, career guidance, vocation training, job-seeking skills, finance/budgeting, complete basic education, housing/home ownership, child care resources, video library, nutrition, home care/management, parenting, time management and improving self-confidence.

Saint Margaret’s House
Provides a drop-in center for single women and women with children. Services include laundry facilities, bathing facilities, computer use, and free local telephone use. Clients visiting for the first time must register for services.

St Vincent de Paul Society of St Joseph County
St. Vincent's provides emergency financial assistance to individuals and families suffering financial hardship. These services are currently available for residents of St. Joseph County. A staff member meets with the person in need to determine need and to help make a plan to address that need. Once determined, SVdP is able to offer rent and utility assistance. Sign-up days for Rent and Utilities Assistance will be scheduled twice each month. These sign-up days will take place at the SVdP Center on Crescent Avenue. The dates for sign-up are the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month. This service is offered on a first come, first served basis. The number of clients served is limited, so it is recommended that you arrive by the scheduled time on the scheduled date. Budgeting Assistance, Job Searches and Resume Creation services are also available by appointment.

South Bend Center for the Homeless
South Bend Center for the Homeless offers a variety of housing services including: an Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Offsite Housing and the Robert L. Miller Sr. Veteran’s Center. The Center also offers additional support services including: Job Training and Education, Child Support and Development and Mental Health Counseling.

Elkhart
Church Community Services is a faith-based agency helping people of Elkhart County weather life’s storms and build more secure futures through emergency assistance (with rent and utilities) and intensive job and life skills training. Salvation Army
The Elkhart Salvation Army provides many types of assistance programs to the people in Elkhart, Lagrange and Steuben counties. We have utility, rent, and Christmas assistance programs. Our Food Pantry is available to those in need of supplemental pantry items. It offers a large selection of both perishable and non-perishable items. In order to receive Food Pantry assistance, one must have: Indiana ID, Social Security Cards for everyone in the household, food stamps print out, and proof of all income for everyone in the household.
